Senior SAP BASIS Administrator

Our client is an international apparel and equipment manufacturer recognized globally for their cutting edge products and innovation. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BASIS Administrator with 7-10 years of hands-on BASIS administration and management experience to join our team to lead the provisioning of technical services to a large base of SAP users, developers, and analysts across the entire range of SAP application technologies.

Participating in a global technical team, the senior BASIS administrator will adapt quickly to dynamic environments, learn new technologies, and develop elegant solutions to complex problems. An experienced senior SAP Basis manager will provide hands-on administration and oversight regarding both the ongoing, and strategic technical administration of a large SAP environment. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert and will leverage their extensive and demonstrable BASIS experience to improve our existing environment as well as develop strategies and a progression framework for emerging technologies. The ability to multi-task while working under pressure is a must.

The position is responsible for providing both system and application administration to ensure the stable installation and operation of SAP systems and components running on Linux and Windows operating systems. This includes securing, patching, and system tuning at the application, operating system and database levels

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess a holistic system view and the ability to manage the BASIS layer across multiple realms (SD/MM/FI applications, Basis OS, database, SUSE Linux OS, external attached systems)

Candidates must have a minimum of 2-4 years of specialty application knowledge in:

AFS on NW2004
CRM 5.0 on NW2004S
BI 7.0 on NW2004S
Enterprise Portal on NW2004S
Solution Manager on NW2004S

Management of SAP Internet technologies (BI web publishing, CRM Internet Sales Architecture, IIS, Tealeaf)

Performance tuning

Support packs and patches

System upgrades

System refreshes (test and sandbox environments)

SAP security: maintenance (IDs; roles & profiles)

SAP security: audit compliance/user licensing)

Independent software applications (OSS, Solution Manager, Saprouter, etc.)

Global language configuration (Kanji, German, etc.)

Communication interfaces (RFCs, Plugins, Extractors; Workflow)

Transports

SAPGUI

Job scheduling (experience with Redwood a plus)

Help and system documentation

Advanced reporting and system metrics

JAVA and ABAP stack maintenance
