Description
You will participate in application lifecycle including: SAP landscape design, server/database sizing and placement, integration/replication design, high availability options, stress testing, DP planning/testing, query tuning, and integration of SAP feature.

Participation with Application Teams includes project planning and task management. You will provide leadership for less experienced members of the team, ensuring that delegated tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner and represent the department on cross-division initiatives. You will proactively evaluate/document standard SAP operating processes and recommend improvements.

You will communicate with System Administration, Microsoft Support, Storage Management, Network Teams and Data Center teams in support of SAP applications used by Business Clients. You will perform routine SAP administration tasks including: installation of SAP software products and related databases, configuration of SAP technical environment, database backup configuration, and SAP software and database recovery.

Additional responsibilities include: SAP performance analysis and tuning, SAP migrations, space management and capacity planning, database maintenance, monitoring, and problem investigation/resolution (including after-hours support).

This position requires 10 years experience with at least 8 years of advanced knowledge in the SAP technical areas, including hardware/software implementation and the ability to apply advanced technical concepts, contributing to the development of new principles.

Candidate must also have proven experience in supporting complex implementation of SAP based infrastructure solutions with diverse knowledge with SAP product family to include any of the following; ECC 5.0, Enterprise Portal, BW, SRM, SCM, CRM, and Solution Manager.

Experience in managing projects that involve external vendors and multiple business areas; proven experience providing technical leadership to other members of SAP infrastructure team; experience in developing SAP Infrastructure strategies to meet business objectives; significant technical experience with the SAP infrastructure environment
