BearingPoint Managed Services is looking for technical sales professionals that possess experience with developing, selling and implementing outsourced application management solutions. The Sales Engineer is deployed as the operational and technical consultant and solution designer for sales opportunities. In order to successfully develop complex solutions for RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, the Sales Engineer is therefore required to command the range of skills needed to design, cost, price, document and transition operational structures and technical architectures. The candidate should have hands on experience with standardized global operating procedures for managing large software applications, gathering client (internal and external) requirements for the management of those applications in production settings and turning those requirements into solution frameworks of how we would deliver the solution to the client.

In addition, the Sales Engineer will:

Interpret RFP and client requirements, develop and propose operational and technical solutions that satisfy those requirements
Develop cost projections supporting outsourcing of services and technologies
Participate in or lead operational and technical reviews and due diligence
Develop and complete solution design documentation, technical proposal, descriptions and proposal text
Make recommendations to Executive Management
Participate in various presentations, client contact meetings, vendor and teaming meetings to facilitate, coordinate and/or negotiate contracts, to present operational and technical solutions to prospective and existing clients
Responsibilities: Work with Sales and Operations teams in gathering requirements from clients. Maintain Technical product information on the specific applications they are responsible for. Work with the Operations Delivery Group on the solution continuous improvement plan to understand, translate and implement the actual delivery metrics and KPIs to increase customer satisfaction and craft better solutions for future customers.

Requirements:
1) Must have experience in one of the following packaged software applications: PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Siebel.
2) Must have a fundamental understanding of all aspects of the application, both functional and technical.
3) Must have a previous implementation background.
4) Must have worked with these applications in a production setting such as an internal IT organization, large outsourcer/managed services provider or Application Service Provider (ASP).

5) Must possess excellent client-facing skills and experience in dealing with client senior and technical teams as well as experience in presenting to C-level executives.

6) Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to work independently or with multi-disciplinary teamsdf-tc
