Description
Looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join a very large software development company who is experiencing explosive growth. This is a newly created position within the organization. Will be responsible for both QA and QC for multiple product lines. They have QA/QC in place, but the Director is looking for someone that will compliment his Development experience and take control of the QA process. This will be a first level Director position within the QA organization. I have put the managers position description below.

Organize a department of ~50 QA analysts and QA engineers into functional groups to provide services to multiple, concurrent projects.
Hire/manage/mentor staff to create effective, efficient and flexible test plans that provide automation, but also allow opportunities for creative thinking/judgement.
Create performance analytics which can rationalize system performance for heterogeneous environments, rather than simple like to like scenarios.

Incumbents in this position manage both quality assurance and quality engineering for very highly complex projects across multiple cross-functional teams. This position requires strong leadership of senior staff to find effective and creative solutions to extremely complex issues. Candidates must be experienced and effective organization builders so that effective and efficient test plans can be made, leading to smooth test execution, resulting in fast QA cycles with few test escapes. Requirements This is a first level director position within the SQA Engineering department for Security Management Solutions. Candidates for this position will have held the title Director, or have effectively managed at this level for 2 years with a staff size of at least 25 engineers. A minimum of 10 years overall management experience is also required. Candidates must have sufficient technical depth to be able to find creative and flexible solutions to complex test matrices.
