'Senior' level SQL DBA with experience on the development side. Candidate must have T-SQL statement, locks, dead locks, joins and index internals experience. 6 month contract to perm.
1) How will creating a clustered index on a heap affect the leaf level page of any existing non-clustered indexes on the heap?
2) Given:
a. ServerA is identical to ServerB in hardware & software
b. Both servers have a DB called MorganDB
c. The SQL user Morgan has access to the MorganDB on both servers
d. The Windows Authenticated user Roseanne has access to the MorganDB on both servers
e. A backup is made of the MorganDB on ServerA and is verified
f. The backup is successfully restored to ServerB
g. Morgan no longer has access to MorganDB on ServerB, but Roseanne does.
How is this resolved and why?
3) How long will it take to create a non-clustered index comprised of 10 columns with each column being 100 bytes wide? The table has 6 million rows and an average row size of 2000 bytes. The hard drive system is comprised of 5 disks, which spin at 15,000RPMs and are setup in a RAID 5 configuration.
