We have an immediate need for an Senior SQL DBA

JOB DESCRIPTION
* W2 contract for 1 year +.*
* Candidates must be available to work onsite in Atlanta, GA.*

Provide SQL Physical DBA support to a new account. Work will include transition work of learning the account from the current DBAs and implementing to new processes. Steady State work will include creating, moving and deleting SQL DBs; installing patches and upgrading as required: implementing security rules (ie GSD331 compliant); maintaining a state of audit readiness; proactively monitoring DBs; problem identification and resolution; responding to problem tickets and customer concerns/request; ensuring adequate backups; restoring DBs as required. 7X24 on-call and potential after hours changes will be required. Must have excellent communications skills and customer interaction skills. Will prefer that the candidates be residents in Atlanta and work on customer site. If not, a high degree of travel will be required to be on-site most work days. Must have excellent written communication skills; documentation skills and be able to implement new processes. This position requires a very senior DBA as the current details of the environment are unknown and subks must be able to deal with potentially new tools etc
