Description
CDI is currently looking for a Senior SQL Server DBA

Global support for SQL Server ' 46 servers in 9 countries at this time (Versions 7, 2000 and 2005).

Ensuring maintenance plans execute correctly.

Application of service packs and hot fixes as required.

Space monitoring

Event log monitoring

Documentation

Support for active/active/active/passive SQL Server 2000 sp4 cluster on Windows 2003 in Southfield.

Minimal down-time (Maximum outage is 2 hours)

Job monitoring

DTS Programming

Security administration and Sarbanes Oxley auditing.

Performance monitoring

Space monitoring

Disaster Recovery planning and testing.

Database planning creation and maintenance.

Execution of scripts supplied by applications.

Documentation

Support for active/active 'hot site' cluster in UK with log shipping from Southfield cluster.

Global SQL Server installation as new servers required.

Migration of current SQL Server 2000 instance to 2005 (project pending). DBA will co-ordinate project and work with application support complete migration.


Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS, or other technical degree required.

4 years minimal experience supporting Micosoft SQL Server.

2 years minimal experience supporting SQL Server in a High Availability Clustered Environment.

Working knowledge of DTS and SSIS.

Must have authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis.df-tc
