Description
The Senior Sales Consultant partners with Account/Sales reps to ensure sales success by identifying and reinforcing the value proposition of their solution throughout the sales cycle. This includes:
Identifying the customers business drivers through discovery, and building a case for their value proposition
Influencing the selection criteria for all decision makers / influencers by emphasizing competitive strengths through a process of education and consultation
Delivering presentations / demos as appropriate that cover the full spectrum from high-level business overviews to deep technical workshop discussions
Managing customer Proof-of-Concepts to ensure appropriate planning and successful execution to the projects goals

The Senior Sales Consultant also contributes actively in marketing activities as a domain expert in market requirements definition, product planning, sales tool development, and participation in marketing events.

Requirements Strong Sales Consulting experience in a value-based technical sales environment
Strong understanding of Oracle Applications and/or Peoplesoft architecture and underlying database capabilities a plus
Experience as an Enterprise Application IT Manager or DBA in a Fortune 1000 company a plus
Ability to quickly understand customer situations/problems and address with customer
BS/MS in a Technical degree. MBA a plus
Excellent presentation/communication skills (written and verbal)
Oracle DB, Unix skills
Experience with Big 5 methodology is a plus
Must be able to show value cross depratmentally
Business and Technical Savviness is a must
