Interior automotive parts (plastic, injection molded) maker is looking for a hands-on Senior Sales Manager for new offices in Columbus, Ohio suburb. As Senior Sales Manager, you will have what it takes to develop an effective relationship with long-term customer Honda and to communicate effectively with their engineering personnel. Company is growing, position offers room to advance.

Responsibilities

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term business relationships with their existing account (Honda) In order to maximize sales and profit.

1. Develop effective business relationships with customer personnel; develop and present responses to customer RFQs, including price negotiations.
2. Coordinate closely with engineering personnel to ensure timely availability of customer quality and engineering specifications.
3. Work closely with Honda Sales Group as you participate in developing annual and multi-year sales and marketing plans to reflect short and mid-term business objectives and strategy.
4. Identify new product development needs; perform comparative analyses of competitor products, strengths and weaknesses.
5. Serve as liaison between the customer and manufacturing plant to resolve order and delivery issues on full production/trial/service parts.
6. Communicate sales forecasts and customer requirements to appropriate manufacturing departments to ensure on-time delivery, efficiency and quality.df-tc


Experience/Skills
* Four-year degree in sales, marketing, business or related field.
* At least five years experience in a manufacturing environment (Honda supplier preferred), including:
o Two plus years recent sales engineer or closely-related experience with emphasis on creating and/or reviewing technical quotations; and
o Experience at a supervisory or assistant manager level.
* Understanding of metal stamping and injection molding processes.
* Proven effective communications skills (including the ability to effectively communicate technical information) in working with internal and external customers, business teams and suppliers.
* Flexibility to work in a multi-cultural and team-oriented environment.
* Experience with MS Word and Excel.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
