Description
The Senior Security Architect ensures the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of data. He/She designs security into the network and applications and is responsible for delivery of security solutions. He/She ensures that the proper controls are in place to mitigate risks and to identify potential vulnerabilities. This position is a team-lead for Core Technologies team, part of the Information Security Architecture Team with primary focus on Authentication and PKI technologies. Primary scope of responsibility is but this position is global in nature and includes the integration and consultation on a group wide basis. Frequently engaged in Group-wide Information Security decisions for core authentication services and infrastructure. Manages the project scope and IT implementation.

- Act as IT lead and Project manager in delivering Authentication, PKI, and other security related solutions on a global basis.
- Provide guidance and subject-matter expertise to HSBC business users and management globally.
- Provide design guidance to project teams, application developers, and business users related to all aspects of Authentication and PKI technologies.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on implementation and integration of PKI with other HSBC systems, certificate structure and lifecycle, certificate validation etc.
- Hands on experience with PKI infrastructure, Implementation and deployment.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on implementation and integration of different authentication technologies with other HSBC systems. This includes leading technologies in the security space, SSO, 2 factor authentication, biometrics, as it relates to internal and external users.
- Tracking of Government regulations that may impact the implementation of PKI, and other technical authentication /security implementations.
- Tracking industry trends and development of the technology.
- Participating in projects, contributing to the design/architecture.
- Work with other platform architects/developers to make sure PKI technologies are well integrated with platform/framework.
- Work with other platform architects/developers to insure proper integration of authentication technologies with platform/framework.
- Work on individual projects and provide required Information Security expertise throughout the entire project lifecycle.df-tc

Experience/Skills
- 4-year college degree
- 7 or more years experience in Information Security (and/or equivalent experience and understanding of general and technical controls)
- Knowledge of network management systems
- Knowledge of network and system monitoring applications
- Expert knowledge in PKI, encryption, SSO and directories.
- Project management experience.
- Mastery of distributed systems paradigms
- Familiarity with development languages and respective security services.
- Demonstrated experience to conduct business analysis work and present finding to a multi-tiered group
- Relevant professional certifications preferred: CISSP, CISA, CISM
- Demonstrated grasp of Internet concepts and technologies
- Relevant professional certifications preferred: CISSP, CISA
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate staff to obtain the desire results
- Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
