Job Scope Summary
The Sr. Security Engineer plays a key role in developing and implementing all aspects of security within the companys technical infrastructure and the underlying business process and function it supports. The ideal candidate must have solid foundations of security best practice for Microsoft Windows environment, TCP/IP, IIS and web service.

Day-to-day duties include (and not limited to):
Provide project management, support, guidance and help on all aspects of information security policies, procedures, systems, technologies and methods.
Develop, test and implement security plans, products, control techniques and methods.
Evaluate new and existing security technologies, designs, architectures and products to determine appropriateness for supporting business and strategic plans.
Monitor the security compliance of networks, servers and applications and respond to security events and alerts as a participant in incident response activities.
Participate in change control processes for networks, systems and applications.
Develop and maintain relationships with various corporate and security organizations to identify and develop solutions to streamline the implementation and effectiveness of security controls for all business compliance projects.
Support and manage the development of an enterprise-level platform security patching process.
Provide network security related expertise in design, implement, monitor, and maintain enterprise remote access solutions.
Policy formulation, documentation and testing, security oversight and support and auditing for policy, project and design efforts including architecture and engineering.
Design, develop, implement, monitor, and maintain a secure wireless LAN using enterprise grade encryption, authentication and protection methods.
Perform trending analysis for border routers and switches, firewalls, and VPNs
Set and meet realistic project deadlines, providing timely status updates.
Develop in conjunction with the network team new methods of procedure for performing maintenance on the network.
Participate in a regular 7x24 on call

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years security experience in implementing security solutions and processes.
Minimum 3 years in an IT project analyst and/or IT project management role.
Minimum 5 years experience of implementation and maintenance of Remote Access solutions, SSL/IPSEC VPN services, border routers security, firewalls, IP/VoIP network, DNS, WINS, IP network, SSL certificates and Intrusion Detection System (IDS), IDS Alerts, and IDS signature upgrades
Solid knowledge of Identity Management (IdM) Solutions implementation and best-practice support model.
Strong working knowledge of IT security for Windows NT/2000/2003, Unix, Linux, local and wide area networks, firewalls, TCP/IP, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, wireless, remote access.
Demonstrated analytical skill, technical knowledge and practical application of information security at a business aware and technical level.
Ability to explain complex IT concepts in non-technical terms.
Demonstrated flexibility in approach and in developing solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
Experience in the Financial Services industry and solid understating of SOX, PCI and SDP compliance requirement.
Take charge personality, and the ability to drive a plan to completion

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or equivalent job experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS CISSP certification is highly desirable. Other industry standard certifications such as MCSE, CCSE, CCNA, SANS or HPOV Administrator
are also desirable.
