Description
Perform and evaluate security vulnerability assessments within a multi-platform, large enterprise environment that includes; operating systems, telecommunications and network platforms, (Windows, UNIX, Linux, NT/2000, VAX/VMS, MVS, Web, IOS, and Wireless networking). Provide IT management a full analysis report of findings including recommended best practices to mitigate security vulnerabilities. Identify security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and new technology initiatives. This includes compliance to security policies, standards and practices. Also recommend strategies/best practices to prevent and/or mitigate security exposures. Verify security performance and interoperability issues of security vulnerability assessment tools. The deliverables for this task will be in the form of formal reports and briefings. Develop policies and procedures for the location and remediation of rogue wireless devices within the organizations environment. Provide management recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities created by these devices. This individual will be required to provide senior level direction in the development and implementation of National Information Security Policies that will affect all segments of the organization's infrastructure. Reviews and evaluates security components of proposed software and operating systems for approval prior to purchase or acquisition.

Experience/Skills
Expert knowledge of information systems security in a production environment is a necessity. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must hold at least CISSP or similar industry related Information Technology certification. Extensive experience with information security. Demonstrated experience in management presentations to impart appropriate information. Demonstrated experience evaluating implementation of risk assessment policies and guidelines.
