Description
Our client is one of the nation's largest pharmacy chains. They are looking for a knowledgeable SharePoint/MOSS developer who can assist end users with low to mid level site design tasks. This person would be made available to end users to assist on ad-hoc requests from people trying to leverage SharePoint for the first time or those wishing to get to the next level. Primarily they will use out of the box components from the MOSS suite to facilitate these needs, with some opportunity to use 3rd party web parts if necessary. This individual will also document how-to, FAQs, and other knowledge content to publish in a Sharepoint resource site for others to use. As the Managing Architect responsible for this technology, I also have some specific development requests.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with End Users to assist with various SharePoint usability and site development tasks (ad-hoc)
  • Working with Architecture team to develop workflows for a Server Request and tracking process to include initial requirements, quote process, provisioning and application loading. Populate list in SharePoint of the Server name, owner, commission date etc.
  • Document Workflow process for others to follow
  • Provide knowledge transfer to SharePoint SME

Experience/Skills

  • Facility with all aspects of MOSS features and functionality
  • MOSS development skills including InfoPath, and SharePoint Designer
  • MOSS search skills, using and expanding search scopes within SharePoint
  • Knowledge of 3rd party web parts that would facilitate Workflows
  • Must be presentable, able to interface directly with end users
  • Ability to gather and document requirements
  • Ability to document designs and deliverables using visual tools like Visio
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and keep accurate
  • Corporate headquarters in Woonsocket, RI
  • Will work closely with Jr. Architect/Administrator responsible for SharePoint support and several key end users, also Sr. Architect responsible for SharePoint Design and new Intranet site.
  • Will work closely with end users
  • Bachelor's degree
