Join a leader in physician practice management software! Our Client is looking for a Senior Software Architect in their health and management software division. Our client develops software that enables physician practices to effortlessly handle billing, scheduling, prescriptions, orders, and electronic medical record keeping. They are a leading supplier of business management software worldwide, including solutions for accounting, payroll, and human resources.

Our clients beautiful, 400-acre research and development campus where you will be working everyday is situated in a lush pastoral landscape minutes away from Gainesville, Florida, the home of the University of Florida. There is an immediate opening for a Senior Software Architect on our development team. The position will contribute to the product line architecture, including influencing, recommending, evolving, as well as contribution to standards, infrastructure, technology, technical documentation, and promoting architectural abstractions and best practices. The individual will also take part in long-lead development efforts spanning product releases.

Responsibilities:

Design and architect next-generation UI platform

Maintain and improve existing Win32 UI platform

Work with the Interaction Design, Visual Design, and User Research teams to investigate technical solutions in order to solve desired usability goals

Develop automated unit tests for the framework

Perform code reviews and design reviews

Ensure a positive and collaborative work environment for the team

Identify opportunities for improvements and propose innovative solutions to existing framework

React to and resolve product, divisional, and strategic trade-offs influencing visual design strategy and direction

Review plans and designs to ensure quality and consistency with vision and guidelines

Communicate effectively with all levels of management and across multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

7+ years technical development and/or architecture experience and technical leadership in multiple full life-cycle development of large systems and/or product lines

BA/BS in Computer Science
or equivalent job experience

7+ years experience in Windows User Interface Development

Strong desire to work in a very highly collaborative and dynamic team environment

Strong desire to get "Outside of the Box" of typical user interfaces and explore solutions from a variety of perspectives

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Must communicate clearly and effectively and possess strong presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver quality solutions, on time, within an emerging technology environment
