A new client of Robert Half Technology is looking to revolutionize the advertising industry by creating market efficiencies in terms of matching publisher page inventory supply to advertiser demand across multiple ad networks, standardizing advertising attributes, and lowering the barriers of entry to new classes of advertising businesses. This is a unique opportunity to develop systems that have the intersection of machine learning, advanced economics / auction theory, and large scale systems engineering.Our client is looking for an experienced Software Design Engineer with 4+ year's development experience to do development on the core delivery / real-time auction subsystem of the online advertising exchange. This progressive company we represent is a fully owned subsidiary of Microsoft focused on building a completely open online advertising exchange. They are currently around 30 people across business and technical disciplines and they are expected to grow as it fully integrates Microsoft advertising assets as well as players across the entire online landscape. Experience/Skills
The Software Design Engineer will have experience in working with real-time, high con currency, transactional web-services. Experience working in online advertising is a strong plus but not a requirement. Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly goal oriented environment, and willingness to take ownership over the design and development of cutting edge systems. The job requirements include working with multiple ad networks on the design/requirements, development/scaling of the core exchange, working with Microsoft groups on integration, and integration with the company's proprietary sub-system components.The technical requirements include a strong background multiple of the following technical areas: C++, C#, Python, SOAP, REST, security, machine learning/applied statistics, real-time ad serving systems, or other massively scaled out web-service. A Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
