Description
Sr. Software Developer - Windows Client
Seeking candidates who have full product lifecycle experience developing and releasing multiple commercial applications on the Windows platform. They will have a comprehensive knowledge of software engineering practices, excellent software functional design capabilities and will be capable of articulating their individual contribution to projects on which they have worked.

This position is an individual contributor role in a small development team with significant product ownership.

Responsibilities
Design, develop and release Windows client software for various email client applications
Provide engineering support to other departments for client software products
Release high quality software products that meet the needs of the company and the customer
Develop software on schedule, adhering to department standards and processes
Produce engineering documentation in support of client products
Requirements
At least 4-5 years active programming in C++ on Windows platforms
1-3 years programming using COM
Detailed knowledge of Windows architecture, Win32 APIs and STL
Experience developing and debugging multithreaded applications
Detailed knowledge of MAPI and the Outlook Object model
a complete development lifecycle of at least 1 complete commercial consumer product
Preferred
Cross-platform (Windows, Unix) experience
Detailed knowledge of networking protocols and sockets programming
Experience with the various email transports (including Exchange, Sendmail, and other Unix-based MTAs)
Experience developing internationalized applications
Knowledge of C# and .NET
