POSITION DESCRIPTION FA Job Title: Software Developer – Sr.Position Title: Software Developer – Sr.Job Summary: Analyze, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for the company's suite of products. Serve as a Senior resource willing and able to mentor and become the SME on several applications. Coding should be viewed as both a science and art.Reports to: Software Development ManagerEssential Functions:Software Development:• Analyze requirement documentation in order to define tasks and provide solid times estimates necessary to complete projects.• Participate in project discussions to determine optimal solutions for project implementations.• Perform software maintenance and bug fixes.• Develop effective, quality, maintainable code to improve / enhance existing and new applications.• Provide effective solutions and estimates for problem resolution.• Accurately track time spent on daily tasks for accounting purposes.• Provide weekly status reports and regular communication to Team Lead.• Provide technical documentation for existing and new applications.Required Technology experience:• OO Analysis and Design• .NET 2.0/3.0o C#o Web Services (WSE/WCF) SOAP Envelopingo Windows Workflowso ASP.Net Membership Provider• XMLo General XMLo XSLTo XSD (Schema)• SQL Server 2000/2005• SOA and Distributed Concepts• Waterfall and Iterative SDLC Concepts• FxCop (for .Net 2.0)• Unit Testing with nUnit• VSS or other Source Control solutionsPreferred Technology experience:• UML• DevInspect• SourceGear Vault• Visual Basic 6.0• Crystal Reports Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Minimum Requirements:Education: BS/BA in Computer Science Year Experience related indiscipline: 6 to 8 years writing / troubleshooting OO software with a majority of the time spent in C#. 2 to 4 years in a senior role within a Development Team.Required Skill LevelsInterpersonal Influence: Modifies behavior to fit tasks, situations andindividuals.
