A Sr. Software Engineer - Data Services is need for client located in Jersey City, NJ.

Ideal candidate will help design and implement client/server-based technologies in the development of upcoming major projects. The candidate is expected to have a sound understanding of the software development life cycle and possess good insight into design patterns and designing applications using an OOPS. Candidate will be responsible for creating data modeling and database design documents for other developers on the team. The position requires excellent written and oral communications skills. The position interacts with all Engineering development teams. The role's focus is database design and usage within a distributed application.

Requirements:

1. Experience in VoIP Hardware and Software environment
2. Experience in communication equipment
3. Experience with Financial Trading services preferred
4. Off shore development teams implementing data services applications
5. Work with Software Quality Assurance
6. Minimum 7 years experience as a Software Engineer, 3 years as a Senior SE
7. Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA/SCM tools
8. Experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, framework and tools
9. Java, Unix/Linux, JDBC
10. Strong experience with relational databases, SQL programming and stored procedure development
11. Good understanding of secure software development practices
12. J2EE programming on Unix/Linux, C/C
13. Knowledge of Linux administration, configuration, and security
14. Experience in security, security of networks, Servers and VoIP systems
15. Active Directory integration, LDAP, directory structures, LDIF, Virtual directory, replication, querying and authentication
16. Experience with PAM, NSS, GSSAPI, SASL
17. MySQL, fluency in XML
18. Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures
19. Experience with LAMP technologies
20. BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required, MS degree preferred
