Description
JOB SUMMARY:

Guide the team, which will include Software Engineers and vendor developers in application architecture and design decisions. Lead projects as well as participate in all facets of the System Development Life Cycle, with minimal supervision. Perform analysis, design requirements, develop project plans, perform unit and integration testing, work with users in UAT, implement solutions, document systems and train users. Provide production support for application.

Experience/Skills

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience creating application architecture.
Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL / SQL.
3-4 years experience developing with ETL tools - preferably Informatica
Experience developing in a Data Warehouse or Data Mart of size 1+ TB
Expert in Oracle performance tuning including index and data storage optimization, partitioning, star transformations, stats pack, hints, explain plan and parallelism.
Experience developing in Unix and Windows platforms; shell and PERL scripting a plus.
Experience developing in a complex financial application environment and/or batch processing applications environment that handled very large volumes of data.
Ability to create detailed specifications based on business user requirements.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with all levels of users including non-technical managers, data entry staff, and application developers to ensure data quality from application design to data entry to report delivery.
Ability to understand very complicated reporting requirements and create a process that ensures data is completely accurate.
Experience developing with Business Intelligence products including Crystal, Business Objects.
Experience programming and administering J2EE applications. Understanding of n-tier architecture.
Experience developing materialized views, snapshots and other data replication techniques.
Ability to respond promptly to emergency contacts by operations staff on a 24/7 basis.
