Description
Immediate need for Senior Software Engineer seeking a growing, stable firm, a senior level opportunity and an excellent compensation package. Looking for highly motivated candidates that can architect, design, implement new components for a java based web application. The engineer must have excellent problem solving skills and can gather business requirements and transform them into technical requirements that can then be implemented. Must also have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively function in a team environment.

Responsibilities include:
-Architecting/re-architecting new components of an enterprise web application for the purpose of increasing performance and scalability
-Designing, implementing and testing features of a web application servicing customers within the online training industry
-Works well within a group or individually to fulfill project requirements
-Writing design and test documentation

Qualifications include:
-M.S/B.S, CS/EE or equivalent
-5+ years of Java development (1.4, 1.5 and 1.6)
-Strong understanding of object oriented software design and development principles
-Strong problem solving skills
-An understanding of XML as a method of data exchange
-Ability to manipulate XML documents using XSLT
-A solid understanding of SQL
-Experience using MySQL 5.x
-Experience working with JBoss and Tomcat
-Experience using Eclipse
