Senior Software Engineer - Java - SOA - Spring - Hibernate - Lucene - caching - memcache - Ehcache - AOP - CXF/Fire/Axis - EC2 - cloud computing - Mule - Hadoop - Lustre - Cassandra - reliability - scalability - performance - distributed

If you are a Java Software Engineer with strong experience building large-scale distributed applications/systems using Spring and Hibernate, and live in the Seattle area, please read on!

What you need for this position:
- Extensive Java development background; must have experience using the features in Java 5+, including generics, annotations, and Java.util.concurrency
- 3+ years experience building large-scale distributed applications
- Experience with SOA implementations; experience with CXF/XFire/Axis or equivalent
- Extensive experience with the Spring framework; you must have used AOP in non-trivial ways
- Experience with Hibernate; you must and be able to explain all the different ways it caches results
- Familiarity with Lucene or similar search platforms
- Experience with caching; knowing when, how, and why to use Ehcache or Memcached

Desirable:
- Experience deploying an application on EC2 or other computing cloud
- Experience finding and removing performance bottlenecks using profiling tools
- Understand SQL schema and how to optimize it
- Experience with Mule
- Knowledge of one or more of these technologies: Hadoop, Lustre, Cassandra
