We have an immediate need for a Senior Software Engineer (LINUX).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sr. Software Engineer (LINUX) to work on production systems automation for a Service Reliability Engineering project. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and hands-on experience in building and managing large-scale systems. Qualified individuals will be skilled in all aspects of systems engineering, have demonstrated ability in scaling to large systems, and a ability to develop reliable and scalable software.

Responsibilities:
* Invent better ways to automate the building, deployment and monitoring of the very large distributed data structures used in search engines.
* IDesign and implement automation systems to deploy software and data across large-scale distributed systems.
* Conceptualize, architect and implement techniques to ensure high availability and handle hardware and software failures.
* Deliver a high-quality, high-performance, and well-tested implementation.

Qualifications (required):
* Experience deploying large-scale systems integrating a variety of hardware and software tools.
* Experience in developing various tools and systems for data movement, fail-over, and recovery.
* Familiarity with Linux, open-source software.
* Understanding of large-scale distributed high availability Web based services.
* Proven track record of designing and implementing complex systems.
* Strong Scripting skills with Python, bash, etc.
* Java Programming skills

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN AN OPEN SOURCE ENVIRONMENT - MySQL, Hadoop, Linux

Capabilities:
* Solve complex development problems.
* Adapt to the demands of evolving operational and production needs.
* Communicate and interact effectively with others.
* Estimate time requirements for projects accurately.
* Create specific, detailed solutions from abstract concepts and information.

Experience/Education:
* Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or similar field.
