Description
As the Senior Software Engineer/Microsoft Technologist, you will have expert-level command of the Microsoft technologies mentioned and will likely hold Microsoft Certifications to include MCSD, MCAD.NET, etc. You will have experience developing software in a team environment using modern software development practices to include Agile methods. You are comfortable with test-driven development and writing and executing unit tests for all code deliverables. Able to effectively communicate with all members of the client team. Extremely focused and able to prioritize work according to directives and the clients needs and able to work and thrive in both tightly structured and flexible environments.

The client is hiring additional Software Engineers to expand its software and product development group. Applicants must be extremely motivated and flexible, and committed to enhancing public safety, through innovative technologies.

There is no visa sponsorship available for this position.

Responsibilities
- Serve in a key advisory position to the team with regards to use of and development with these Microsoft technologies.
- Architect parts of a large, distributed application leveraging these technologies.
- Train development staff on key concepts relating to use and interface with these technologies.
- Help in strategic decision making for future product features and specs, with consideration for use of these Microsoft technologies.
- Possibly assist in the effective implementation and use of these technologies for some internal business and development processes.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Required Experience/Skills:
- Windows Media Services (Windows Media Server, Windows Media Encoder, various versions of the .wmv format) and associated APIs.
- Microsoft Digital Rights Management and associated systems/infrastructure
- LDAP and Microsoft Active Directory (ADAM, novel implementations).
- ASP.NET.
- IP Networking, Microsoft Certificate Services and SSL.
