Senior Software Engineer

A large New York based Global Investment bank requires a Senior Software Engineer to join their High Frequency Algo Team at VP level. This high responsibility opportunity entails working directly with the traders in a small development team to implement their algorithms as well as develop and support the execution platform. Candidate will develop in C++ in a multi-threaded linux environment. The position requires both development and support of the platform working in a fast paced but structured environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing new algos as designed by the traders
• Creating a back testing environment in order to properly test the algos
• Implement business functionality in order to make additional analytics available to the algos
• Measure the performance of the algos and optimize
• Implement business functionality to support the HFA business

Essential Technical Skills:

• Expertise in developing high performing applications
• Expertise in multi-threaded C++/STL applications on a linux platform  
• Good software engineering discipline and process orientated
• Very Knowledgeable in Rates trading and Bond principals
