Description
Exciting Senior Software Engineer position is available for an expanding high-tech company. In this role, you provide server side Windows NT/2000/2003, C++ programming. You will be responsible for all phases of software development, including analyses and generation of system and component requirements, schedules, design, implementation, integration, unit and acceptance testing of new and enhanced applications and features. Additionally, you will provide real-time and multi-threaded programming in support of the client's online products, with an emphasis on researching, creating and maintaining high-performance, object-oriented, light-weight and highly efficient commercial enterprise applications. Experience/Skills
Must have 2+ years professional C++ programming experience including server side, multithreaded programming for high-performance real-time applications and a minimum of a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related. Experience with Visual C++ 6.0 and 8.0 versions, MFC, Multi-Threading, TCP/IP is a must. Prior experience with real-time application engineering, debugging, performance analysis and tuning is required. Experience developing 24 x 7 availability, mission-critical server applications that run in an operations center is necessary. It is a plus to have experience writing or maintaining applications that handle securities exchange feed data (SIAC, NASDAQ, CME, ARCA, ISLD); developing applications for Unix or Linux operating systems; MySQL, JSP, or Tomcat; and familiarity with applications that handle various securities types (Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed-Income).
