Description
Primary Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced senior software engineer for the middle-tier department at Asurion. The position will be contributing as a key team member delivering enterprise class middle tier web services and solutions using design patterns and service oriented architectures with a heavy focus on analysis and design.

80% Technical Design and Implementation
Design and implement technical solutions using design patterns and best practices.
Produce all technical Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) deliverables including logical and physical design documentation as well as API specifications
Collaborate with team members to produce project estimates.
Work closely with Project Managers, BAs and Integration Testing Team to ensure delivery of high quality solutions that meet functional and business requirements.
Contribute and follow coding, design and architectural standards to ensure solutions are in compliance to the corporate goals, policies and principles.
Contribute to the improvement of development processes and controls in the SDLC.

20% Ad-Hoc & Other
Status reporting and time tracking.
Troubleshoot and diagnose critical production issues.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills
Qualifications:

Have at least 8 years of experience in developing OO software solutions.
Have at least 5 years of experience in designing and developing software solutions using C#, SQL Server 2000 or 2005.
Have experience in designing and developing solutions using .Net 2.0 & .Net 3.0 technologies including web services.
Have experience in designing and developing SOA based solutions.
Ability to recognize and implement common design patterns and best practices.
Have experience with typical software development lifecycles including waterfall, incremental, iterative, etc.
Familiar with UML and able to produce technical artifacts including class diagrams, architecture diagrams and sequence diagrams
Ability to quickly and accurately perform troubleshooting and repair of existing applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle multiple assignments.
