Description
Primary Purpose
Responsible for maintain, design, and implementation of browser-based healthcare applications using state of the art technologies (i.e. J2EE, XML, UML, RDBMS).

Duties and Responsibilities
. Design, implement, and document complex web-based healthcare applications.
. Improve performance, efficiency, reusability, and maintainability of existing applications.
. Program clear and concise solutions to described problems.
. Responsible for evaluation, selection, and prototyping of technical architecture.
. Assist in technical training and development of other staff members
. Take initiative for identifying process improvements and application enhancements.
. Contribute knowledge of JDBC, EJB, XML and object modeling to the development efforts.
. Other duties as required by business conditions or as assigned.

Education and Knowledge

. Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences or equivalent
Skills and Abilities
. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
. Requires Interpersonal and English language skills sufficient to interact effectively with both internal and external customers, clients and vendors
. Ability to manage multiple projects with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
. Ability to interact with, and accept direction from, multiple managers and clients
. Ability to work independently is required
. Willing to work at tasks outside of normal duties if needed to support team objectives

. Experience developing programs using a life cycle methodology
. 4-6 years experience in software application development
. 3-5 years experience in J2EE technologies
. 3-5 years experience in OOA and OOD
. 3-5 years experience developing applications using Oracle or MS SQL Server.
. 2-4 years experience in DHTML, Javascript, and ActiveX controls.
. 1-2 years experience with Jakarta Struts.
. Healthcare or clinical application experience highly desirable
