Description
We are a well-funded start-up company in Los Angeles that builds software to enable a viable revenue stream for shareware software development firms. Ours is a multi-billion dollar business, and we are poised to capitalize on that growth.

We are currently searching for outstanding C/C++ Windows software engineers who have product development experience and are interested in developing innovative software products for the freeware and shareware markets. Working alongside an experienced management team to design, develop, and release new software products in a fast paced environment will be a challenge and we are looking for extremely talented engineers who have the creativity and skills to meet them.

To qualify, you must have:

Undergraduate or graduate degrees in Computer Science or equivalent.
Five or more years of experience designing and implementing client-server applications for domestic and international versions of Windows 98, 98SE, ME, NT, 2K, and XP required.
Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills.
Proficiency in Win32 API, COM, MFC, and ATL required.
Proficiency in C, C++, and STL required.
Proficiency with developing multithreaded applications on the Windows platform required.
Proficiency with using sockets and developing Windows applications with TCP/IP and HTTP communication features using WinInet, Winsock or other networking libraries required.
Experience with using Internet Explorer-related technologies such as using IWebBrowser2, creating browser helper objects, creating IE toolbars, etc. a big plus.
Experience in translating market requirements into detailed technical specifications for innovative products.
Experience in developing commercial software applications and software development kits (SDKs) for third party developers.
Experience in preparing technical documentation for patent applications.
Experience with development techniques such as prototyping, application logging, experimental defect resolution, stress testing, longevity testing, test coverage tools, performance profiling tools, and memory leak detection tools.
Experience with systematic unit and integration tests to software systems (including test harnesses and test plans).
Experience with applying component reuse to a project.
Experience with .Net, Delphi, and Visual Basic a plus.
Experience with Unix/Linux/FreeBSD, PHP, and MySQL a plus.
Excellent organization and project management skills.
Willingness to keep skills current by reading technical books and articles.
Proficiency in Visual Studio .NET a plus.
