Our client is a well-established, fast-growing, storage software startup with offices in San Jose, Fresno, and the UK. Their executive team is world-class, and they are well-funded by top tier VCs. They maintain strong partnerships with the leading companies in computing and storage.



We are looking for awesome software engineers and architects to help build the next generation of storage software technology. This position will be part of a new team taking thier products to the next level. You will have the opportunity to contribute in multiple technology areas. Responsibilities and duties will span all phases of the development process: developing technical requirements, designing new features, coding and debugging, and unit testing.





The ideal candidate will:



? Love working with great engineers

? Speak C/C++ at the dinner table, but maintain fluency in other languages

? Maintain a strong work ethic, and expect the same of others

? Understand that quality starts with good design

? Tell bedtime stories with UML

? Live for the high that comes with creating great technology

? Have a track record of shipping great products





You should have also experience with one or more of the following:



? Storage software, especially backup and restore, and disaster recovery, NDMP

? Storage protocols, SCSI, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, IEEE 1394 (Firewire), USB

? Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Networks (SAN), CIM, SMI-S

? Device driver development on Unix, Linux, or Windows platforms

? File systems development, NFS, CIFS

? GUI design and development, human factors engineering

? Network software development, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP

? Database design and development

? Operating system development, kernel-level programming





Six or more years of engineering experience is highly desired, primarily with mission critical commercial software. BS in Computer Science, or equivalent, required. PhDs in Computer Science welcome.
