Description
. Participates in pre-sales and discovery process to understand the problem and translate the client's intentions into detailed business requirements and quantifiable deliverables.
. Assists sales with client meetings, needs analysis, proposals, scoping, estimation and identifying new business opportunities within a client.
. Estimates the effort needed to develop the technical solution to solve the problem.
. Evaluates technology, use case design, and component design to define, develop, and implement the appropriate technologies to a given set of business requirements.
. Leads the solution delivery; developing prototypes, writing analysis and design documents, ensuring operational control of systems, installing software, writing code, testing code, debugging programs, developing design proposals for improving system performance, evaluating systems application programming in the development of new programs and revising existing programs in support of operational requirements.
. Leads design reviews and QA reviews.
. Recommends techniques for effective deployment and distribution of technology solutions in production; advises on ways technology prototypes or pilot applications can be moved to production status.
. Evaluates current and new technologies as they relate to Fastek's offerings to ensure the best solution is delivered based on the needs and requirements of the project.
. Responsible for engineering budget and schedule performance.
. Responsible for reporting development issues to management to insure proper resolution.
. Responsible for following and refining Fastek's development processess and documentation standards.

Experience/Skills
. 5+ years direct Internet / web experience
. Proficiency in Web technology. Several years experience designing complex architecture applications (web architecture, N-tiered client server architecture, legacy integration, etc.)
. Significant experience leading J2EE projects.
. Significant experience developing apps using Oracle, MS SQL-Server, LDAP, ODI.
. Demonstrated programming ability with Java / J2EE / Java Script / C++ / HTML / JSP / ASP.
. Demonstrated OO design, UML modeling.
. Experience with component software development (COM, DCOM, EJB).
. Experience with application server environments - Oracle Application Server, JBoss, BEA WebLogic, WebSphere,
