The position works with a team of technical professionals responsible for the design, installation, and support and monitoring of Microsoft Windows, Network and UNIX-based computer systems in a 7x24 environment.

The position requires a minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in information technology designing, implementing, monitoring and supporting a mixed, complex environment consisting of Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003/2008. Experience with Cisco network devices and UNIX/Linux is preferred.

A firm level of proficiency, technical understanding and hands-on experience with Microsoft Operating Systems, networking, Active Directory and systems management is required. An overall degree of familiarity with technologies such as IIS, VMware ESX, SQL Server, Exchange, SMS/SCCM, MOM/SCOM, and Microsoft ISA is necessary to fulfill the position responsibilities. Experience with Visual Studio, Commerce Server, PowerShell scripting, RSA and PKI is a plus.

Furthermore, the position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus solid organization, presentation and documentation abilities, including Visio diagrams and "as-built" documentation. An understanding of project management methodologies and tools accompanied with creativity and innovative thinking to find solutions to complex problems that can balance short and long-term objectives.

The position requires the ability to participate in a 7x24 on-call support rotation and willingness to travel at least 15% of the time; a portion of travel may be outside of the U.S. necessitating documents for international travel.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, other discipline, or equivalent related technical experience and Microsoft MCSE certification is required; advanced Microsoft, network and project management certifications are a plus.
