• Produce detailed design specifications from project requirements.
• Workwith lead software engineers and technical project managers developcomprehensive work breakdowns and project development schedules.
• Design robust solutions that accommodate changing business direction and rapid business growth.
• Code projects from design specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to one or more junior developers.
• Track and report development progress and problems.

• 5+ years of software development experience in a full life cycle environment
• Expert level Java development skills.
• Experience with JDBC, SQL with working knowledge of Oracle/Sybase is required.
• Experience with XML, XSD/DTD.
• Working knowledge of source code control systems and configuration management practices is required
• Working knowledge of object-oriented analysis and development methodology.
• Experience with performance testing and tuning distributed applications is preferred.
• Experience with design and implementation of scalable distributed systems is preferred.
• Experience with UNIX or Linux is preferred.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and Apache Axis preferred.
• Experience in C/C+ +/PERL is preferred
