Senior Storage Engineer

What you will need for this position:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and 7-9 years of programming experience required.
Masters Degree in Computer Science 5-7 years of programming experience desired.
Extensive experience developing file systems and/or database storage systems
Demonstrated results in enhancing file systems to improve throughput/performance
Previous experience in working with storage area networks
Significant experience coding in C++ and a thorough grounding in structured design principals
Experience working closely with Documentation, QA, and Technical Support
Experience developing low-level software on Embedded systems or programming experience on Linux
Experience writing drivers in a Linux environment
Experience in md-raid and other hardware raid technologies
Experience in multi-pathing
Experience with Storage Protocols: SCSI, FibreChannel, SAS, FCoE.

What you will be doing:

~ Manage the storage components of the our appliance. This includes discovery, monitoring, failure detection of the storage devices and the recovery.
~ Develop, enhance and maintain the database storage features and modules.
~ Develop, enhance and maintain our database storage modules
~ Troubleshoot and identify fixes for Linux open source modules and drivers
~ Interface with disk vendors for problem resolution
~ Write design and functional specifications
~ Write unit tests
