The analyst will work with multiple members of the IS Department and vendors to ensure the availability and functionality of these systems. This is a dynamic position, with responsibilities ranging from tracking data through databases, to workstation application support, to server software troubleshooting. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required to follow through, follow-up, and communicate status to business units. In addition, the analyst will manage small projects related to the supported systems. Windows support and entry level knowledge of SQL queries are required.Duties and Responsibilities:• Advanced Application Supporto Trading application and mission critical support will require that the analyst have a fundamental understanding of applications’ imports, exports, and business usage.o Responsible for quickly establishing issues and assembling the needed resources to provide resolutions.o Manage user expectations as first line of contact on all critical systems issues.o Must be able to allocate and manage resources (time, people, etc.)o Document and disseminate procedures, best practices, and knowledgebase articles.• Small to Medium sized project managemento Will be responsible for managing many short term projects simultaneously.o Will be a key member in an Information Systems (IS) team in upgrading these major systems.Requisite Skills:• A successful candidate must be highly motivated, very good organizational skills, excellent communication skills, team-oriented and resourceful. • Able to function in a stress filled environment with demanding end users• Prior experience in supporting Trading/Finance applications is a must. • Support knowledge of Windows XP Operating System and Office 2003. • Good understanding of MSSQL database connectivity and SQL querying language skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or Finance is a plusdf-tc
