Description
We are currently seeking to fill a Senior Sybase DBA position for our client in Deerfield, IL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Salary: 85-95K

Responsibilities:
- Assume a leading role in support of the Sybase database environments.
- ASE production support, stored procedures, troubleshooting, system sizing, system integration, upgrades, platform migration, and monitoring.
- Proactively foster best practices with development groups and other users.
- Work with developers to identify and resolve potential production impacting issues.
- Work with business to gain an understanding of business data requirements and, in turn, integrate business vertical operational data needs into the physical enterprise data model.
- Participation in 24X7 DBA on-call rotation
- Replication Technology (warm standby, MSA, peer to peer and object level replication)
- Ability to perform operational procedures and maintain records

Qualifications:
- 10 years of Sybase admin & replication experience
- Ability to develop and test production utilities
- Effective interpersonal and time management skills
- The ability to communicate issues and work in a team oriented environment toward their resolution is critical to the success of this position
- 24x7 operations support experience
