Description
Digital Impact's Production Operations team is looking for a Sr. Systems Administrator with a solid understanding of UNIX-based operating systems (Solaris, Linux) and Windows-based operating systems (NT, 2k, 2k3, Advanced Server). A proven leader who can perform in-depth performance analysis processes to tune systems and possesses a solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts. This individual would also be required to build new servers as required and install all necessary software and monitoring utilities. This also includes racking and cabling systems as necessary and performing all required daily operational tasks and heavy internal application support. Rotational 24x7 oncall support is a must. The candidate must have strong inter-personal and communication skills; capable of writing proposals, acting as vendor liaison, and working closely with Technology management. Must have the ability to solve problems quickly and completely. The successful candidate must have 5+ years previous systems administration experience in medium to large companies.


Skills Required: Extensive experience with:
-Operating systems, Solaris, Linux, Windows.
-Implementing a heterogeneous environment that includes Solaris, Linux and NT.
-Strong Storage Management knowledge and skillset (Raid levels, SAN architecture)
-Programming experience in an administrative language (Tk, Perl, shell).
-Programming background in any applicable language such as C++ or Java.
-Configuring network file systems (for example, NFS, NIS).
-Network file synchronization schemes such as RDIST.
-TCP/IP networking protocols with the ability to debug and program at the network level.
-TCP/IP networks Cisco routers, switches, and load balancing technologies including configuration and maintenance.
-Working in a collocation environment.
-Network security, firewalls, deploying authentication systems.
-Implementation and configuration of SendMail 8.8 or greater.
-Implementation and configuration of DNS/BIND.
