Description: Sr. Senior System Administrator

We are looking for a Senior System Administrator with strong web application support experience as well as strong hosting application and hosting environments experience for Tier 3 support, general server maintenance and server stability as well as efficiency improvements on an on-going project basis.


The scope of work furthermore required the deployment of custom we applications into multiple environments (dev, text, production) for different server categories (IIS, MsSQL, LDAP for Windows and Apache, MySQL, PgSQL and LDAP for Unix). The position includes a strong R&D aspect to constantly improve the level of service on a quality as well as efficiency standpoint.


While provided with staff for basic engineering (server builds, etc.) the position requires engineering and supervision of such, including but not limited to test plan developments, implementation planning and execution.


Experience with web load balancing support is a plus as well as with LDAP. Proven strong project management background, knowledge of testing tools and performance measurement and tuning preferred. Strong Java and SQL Database knowledge required. Hosting environment experience required.

A positive attitude as well as excellent team skills and willingness to share and document critical knowledge is required.



At least three years of experience
Strong Java knowledge required
Perl / Bash scripting at intermediate level
QMail experience
Rebuilding kernels from scratch
Networking abilities on intermediate level
Ability to perform debugging on java and C
Experience with AWK & SED applications

Ability to lead a team
Abilit to work on projects independently in time and budget
Ability to teach others (mentoring)

Optional:
Cisco / Microsoft Certifications are a plus
GHCP knowledge is a strong plus
Experience with H-Sphere or other hosting environment is a strong plus
CCNA / CCDA certifications are a plus
Load Balancing Experience
Strong Hardware Knowledge (such as contacts to Hardware distributors, etc.) for Hosting Environments is adf-tc
