CDI IT Solutions is currently looking for a SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (VMWARE) to join our team; join CDI today.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position is responsible for hardware and operating system support for Windows and VMWare servers.

Provide support for a variety of enterprise class tools including: Veritas NetBackup, HP OpenView, Platespin , HP SIM, IBM Director.


Daily responsibilities include:

Ongoing support of the enterprise VMWare environments, racking and integrating hardware.

Installation and configuration of the operating systems.

Installation and configuration of other system agents required as part of our standards.

Maintain and support patch management, and enterprise-wide protection for Windows and VMWare servers.

Support will include inventory management; utilize change, problem and asset management systems.

Provide 24x7 on-call support.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have practical experience in the following:

VMWare ESX 3x, VMWare VMotion, VMWare VirtualCenter, HP and IBM Intel/AMD server hardware, connectivity with externals SANs/NAS, out-of-band management tools, Microsoft Windows 200x server, Active Directory, OS image design, WINS/DNS/DHCP and strong troubleshooting skills.

Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform in a self directed team, contribute to the team environment, and have strong oral and written communication skills.

Minimum of 5-6 years experience in system support within a large, enterprise-level, technical environment.

MCSE/MCTS or VCP Certifications a plus.df-tc
