Description
Performs maintenance and support of day to day operations for corporate IT server backup environment. Iincludes scheduling backups, restores, tape handling and troubleshooting software and hardware..Manages server storage via a Storage Area Network, (SAN), connected to backend storage arrays. Includes troubleshooting storage arrays, SAN fabric and server storage access.This position is primarily an evening shift, but requires day and weekend work, both scheduled and unscheduled. Education: Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
.Experience: two to four years as a backup and/or storage administrator in a medium to large corporate environment.
.Skills: Ability to write comprehensive documentation and technical instruction. In depth Knowledge of Veritas Netbackup software, EMC Control Center Software,df-tc
