Description
Working with minimal direction, this position will provide local operational and maintenance support for our LAN and server environments. The goal of this position is to maintain a stable systems environment with minimal downtime and maximum performance.

Education and Experience:

-4-yr degree in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

-6 years experience in systems administration supporting a networked server environment.

-Experience with at least two of the following server environments or systems software in a systems administration capacity: Solaris and Windows 2K & 2003.
-Experience in coordinating major system upgrades
-or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provide the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

-Client focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
-Must be able to multi task and pay close attention to detail

Education and Experience:

-Degree in Computer Science or related area
-Vendor tool certifications such as CNE or MCSEdf-tc
