Specific Description
This position will require experience in designing, configuring, integrating, tuning, testing and integrating in a windows environment. Individual must be experienced with Cisco switches, routers, EMC, and SAN storage devices. Candidate must be an experienced system administrator with the ability to configure DNS and DHCP. Candidate must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills as this position will have considerable customer interface. Candidate must be knowledgeable of SQL installation and administration, demonstrate expertise in networks design, server configuration, and Active Directory structure and schema design. Candidate must have Storage Area Network administration experience along with in-depth knowledge and expertise with VERITAS Clustering and volume replication software. Candidate must be able to develop test cases and test scenarios and perform technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting with in a windows environment. Domestic travel to customer sites will be required. Required Skills are 8 - 10 years minimum hands-on technical experience & proficiency in the following: Experience with configuring and administering Dell servers and SAN based Storage. Administering and troubleshooting Windows (2000/2003/Active Directory) Systems. Experience in developing and deploying MSI packages Understanding in developing and managing Group Policies. Design, configuration, and implementation of Server, workstation, Storage devices. Extensive knowledge VERITAS Volume Replication and VERITAS Clustering. Design, configure Cisco router and Switches in a LAN/WAN environment and have a good understanding of Virtual LANs Knowledgeable of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and WINS configuration with in a windows environment. Desired Skills include MCSE certification (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) for Windows 2000 and/or 2003, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
General Position Description
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Typical Minimums
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.df-tc
