Experience/Skills
- Expert knowledge of the Windows Server 2003 platform and operating system including installation, performance tuning, system security, and capacity planning- Advanced experience designing and administering Active Directory 2003 and clustered file and printer servers in a geographically distributed environment- Advanced knowledge and experience with Exchange 2003 and/or 2007, including best practices for implementation and performance- Working knowledge of Internet Information Server (IIS) version 5 or greater and SQL Server- Working knowledge of DNS, WINS and DHCP and appropriate troubleshooting and administration skills- Experience supporting modern storage architectures and data replication technologies.- Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing- Experience supporting Citrix server farms delivering mission-critical applications to remote users- Demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining a reliable backup and data retention strategy for all information assets- Experience with Blackberry Enterprise Server configuration and administration- Thorough understanding of network and system security configurations commonly employed to protect data - Working knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMWare product suite- Experience using scripting (VBScript, PowerShell, WMI, etc.) or system automation tools to streamline maintenance tasks and maintain configuration standards- Knowledge of best practices in system design, administration, and security configuration- Demonstrated ability to define standard operating procedures and document proposed changes to the environment with a clear of understanding of risks to business operations- Working knowledge of effective system monitoring tools which promote proactive response to faults and errors- Familiarity with document management systems such as Microsoft Sharepoint or similar products
