Position Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities of position: Clarity is our Project Management Tool and we are need a guru to get the most out of the system that we can. We will need a talented Clarity expert to leverage all the capabilities of the system in order to drive successful project management tracking.

Detailed Job Description for posting:
This role involves installing the code and modifying the system according to how the business wants the tool configured/extended for use. Technical roles and skills:
i. Data retrieval expertise using advanced SQL with advanced knowledge of the Clarity data model.
1. stored procedures
2. triggers
3. new custom tables
4. data repairs and loads
ii. Architecture understanding Web infrastructure, database interface, java, Middleware
iii. Defining jobs and creation of customized PL/SQL scheduled jobs.
iv. XOG XML Open Gateway and GEL to facilitate interfaces with external applications and for the upload of large volumes of data
v. Maintain reporting server infrastructure Actuate or Business Objects & Crystal Reports
vi. LDAP and SSO security interfaces
vii. Creating attributes, objects, lookups, portlets, and reports, including Actuate or Crystal report development.
viii. Testing and installation of CA fixpacks and new codebase versions.
ix. Clarity application startup and shutdown.
x. Performance monitoring and improvements.

Evaluates and implements new initiatives on process improvement and technology initiatives.
Excels at analyzing functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions; recommends solutions that are aligned with business/IT strategies and complies with corporate architectural standards.
Serves as SME in all aspects of systems/applications software
technology and/or application components.
Resolves application and technical problems of the highest complexity.
Analyzes performance and capacity issues of the highest complexity with
systems/applications software and/or application components.
Continuously cultivates knowledge of emerging technologies.
Serves as initial point of escalation for all processing and operational issues.
Excels at working collaboratively with IT staff on development, troubleshooting, and other technical efforts.

Tasks and Responsibilities: Excellent knowledge of CA Clarity programming/systems analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration, and migration functions; possesses an excellent understanding of programming languages, development tools, and the current environment.
Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.
Draws on extensive knowledge base (eg, infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze problems of the greatest complexity and contribute to troubleshooting efforts.
Leverages excellent design understanding and/or capabilities (eg, database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment.

Required education/experience: Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
2-4 years experience with CA Clarity. 4-6 years experience in information technology.
Typically experienced across multiple Information Technology areas and all system/applications software development.
Serves as point of escalation for complex issues.
Responsible for developing and executing project plans, as well as coordinating groups of IT staff.
