Plans, engineers and supports host systems administration while providing ongoing technical support to all CU members and employees by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains the credit union's host systems' integrity, availability, reliability and effectiveness by monitoring, analyzing and making appropriate adjustments to the systems' components and their use.
Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
Provides third level Help Desk support in resolving technology problems for internal members while ensuring an accurate and timely response for problem resolution.
Establishes and maintains virtualized server environments including management of production, preproduction, testing, development, and disaster recovery environment.
Responsible for server and client software patch change management program.
Assists with technology deployments such as desktop PC's, MS Office products, operating systems, helpdesk, UltraData products, installation of hardware and peripheral components and network upgrades.
Assist departments with host system training, data extraction, data administration and needs analysis.
Perform systems analysis tasks as required for implementing modifications or additions to the host systems software packages.
Participates as a member of the Information Technology Disaster Recovery Team as described in the Information Technology Contingency Plan.
Responsible for maintaining credit union disaster recovery site and performing ongoing verification testing.
Conducts network threat and vulnerability assessments and is responsible for operational network security.
Responsible for Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention System and ongoing threat prevention.
Responsible for corporate antivirus program.
Conducts reviews and updates of standard operating procedures, disaster recovery procedures and all department documentation under the direction of the supervisor.
First backup for all after hours on-call pager support.
Maintains current knowledge of technology industry trends and direction and provides input to department staff on process improvements.
Conducts appropriate research, analysis and implementation of enhancements to the credit union's host systems and provides recommendations for new opportunities to improve service through technology.
Presents to NCUA auditors for all examiner audit requests.
Assists in the development and implementation of projects as assigned by supervisor.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with vendors.
Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of all software and hardware trends and products within the IT space.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area in order to promote efficiency and accuracy.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with four years financial institution systems support and/or administration or related experience and/or training; or high school diploma and six years experience in information technology may substitute for higher education; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in help desk environment a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
MCP, MCSE, CCNA or other Cisco certifications are desirable.
