Skills Required:
- At least 4 years experience as a Systems Designer/Analyst on complex IT projects/programs
- Strong conceptual and detailed design skills a must
- Experience with iterative development a must (USDM, Rational, etc)
- Applied experience with OOD and J2EE
- Applied mainframe experience
- DB2, Stored Procedures
- Broad technical expertise of a diverse set of technologies - mainframe, web, and databases

Skills Preferred:
-This position requires deep understanding of the numerous, complex order systems utilized by the Marketing and MP/L organizations (Conceps, USOB, Order Control, Serialized Order File, Job1 and Insystem Masters.) Prior experience with these systems is strongly preferred.
-Experience in both the mainframe and server environments

Experience Required:
- At least 2 years supervisory/leadership experience
- Provide leadership and guidance on the project

Experience Preferred:
- Highly motivated individual who enjoys working on complex projects
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, presentation, and facilitation
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to lead with minimal supervision (self starter)
- Strong partnering and client service skills

Education Required:
B.S. or M.S. in a computer related field Master's in Comp. Sci. preferred but not required

Position Description:
- Working closely with data architect, DBA, application architect, as required, for application design.
- Translate requirements into structured systems design using appropriate analysis and design methodologies in close cooperation with business analysts and project customers
- Develop detailed program specifications
- Determine appropriate technical development and database architecture for given functional requirements in collaboration with the Architecture Team
- Define integration with existing applications and lifecycle support implications
- Responsible for critical performance characteristics, security measures and other application development considerations
- Support the Project Manager in the creation of the workplan by providing estimates
- Work collaboratively with the program-level Senior Designer and the Systems Designers on related projects to ensure a complete, integrated design
- Ensuring all design, configuration, and application change management issues are addressed
- Ensuring issues across different server environments are addressed
- Working with Architecture team to identify, institutionalize and execute project standards for development, security, user interface, interoperability, documentation, key methods and object model
- Must ensure compliance with all corporate and program level standards
- Achieving alignment among fellow colleagues
- Responsible for escalating to release manager where support required
