The Senior Applications Administrator/Analyst will be responsible for supporting an R&D/QA environment made up of several unique systems. Assist in qualification and validations of software installations and upgrades according to FDA guidelines. The individual will provide system administration, documentation, and maintenance of corporate enterprise applications such as PLM, Document Management, CRM, and ERP systems. The individual will work closely with other IS personnel and system end users so strong interpersonal skills are a must.

  • Administer the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system CATSweb, Project Management and Resource Tracking Application – BEN, and other enterprise applications for users worldwide.
    Troubleshoot workflow issues, including creation and modification of workflows, and security role and privilege definition.
  • Maintain and update functionality for enterprise applications support.
  • Monitor end-user usage of systems and perform daily administrative tasks.
  • Interface with business units to support the end user needs.
  • Interface and work together with other members of the Information Systems department to integrate enterprise application systems and data.
  • Work with limited supervision under defined time constraints with changing requirements. Provide technical support and guidance for post release production systems.


Experience/Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years applications administration experience.
  • Fundamental competency in the following areas: Windows administration,Unix/Solaris administration, Microsoft SQL Server/Oracle administration
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of enterprise applications.
  • Ability and desire to provide end user application support.
  • Superior troubleshooting and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical/organizational and decision making skills.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Desired skills:

  • Process Knowledge of a PLM suite in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile PLM 9.x, SQL Server, Oracle, SAP
  • Familiarity with BEN –Business Engine Network, CATSweb, and LIMS systems.
  • Prior experience with FDA validation of enterprise computer systems.
  • Programming expertise e.g. Java, VB, .NET especially with application SDKs and system interfaces.
  • Prior experience in a bio-medical device or bio-technology company. *Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance experience.
