Description
The Senior Systems Analyst will be a problem solver with the ability to think in a structured manner and who possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Mortgage Origination process is highly desirable but not required.
This will be a great opportunity to perform analysis as part of a team of high-caliber analysts, to learn new analysis skills and methods, to work on a system developed from the ground up (no off-the-shelf implementation), to gain in-depth knowledge of the mortgage banking field, and - last but not least - to work for the largest mortgage banking originator in the country.
Primary Responsibilities Include:

Applying structured system analysis and requirement analysis skills in a methodical manner to develop functional specifications for browser-based, service-oriented (SOA) applications.
Developing process flow diagrams
Creating Use Case diagrams and specifications
Creating User Interface mock-ups/wire-frames to support process flows
Defining and documenting User Interface specifications
Gathering, documenting and managing business rules as they relate to the User Interface and/or back-end components/services
Mapping data elements form the User Interface to a standard data dictionary
Assisting in facilitating interactive sessions with the business users and subject matter experts to gather and document business requirements
Uncovering areas of complexity, risk, or conflict and escalating them to the Team Lead and/or Analysis Manager
Interfacing and closely interacting with the development and testing resources and the product management team
Assisting in problem resolutions
Providing timely status information to the Team Lead and/or Analysis Manager
Building and maintaining excellent relationships with the business community as well as the development, product management and testing groups

Experience/Skills
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
Bachelor-s (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (and/or equivalent experience)
5+ years of IT experience with a minimum of the last 2-3 years in the role of a Systems Analyst (or similar experience)
Successful structured analysis track record combined with experience working on a multi-million dollar effort
Strong knowledge of various SDLC methodologies
Highly proficient in a variety of analysis methods and techniques including UML, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Class Diagrams, and Data Flow Diagrams
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to interact with a broad range of Technical and non-Technical audiences
The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:
Post-graduate degree
Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and/or Object Oriented Development (OOD/OOAD) background
XML and/or SQL query development
Experience in a mortgage banking environment
