Description
This position provides billing and accounts receivable application and business analytical support. The person in this position must be very knowledgeable in key aspects of the billing and accounts receivable (BAR) application of GE/IDX including but not limited to registration, charge entry processing, payment posting, transaction editing system, paperless collection system, rejection sub systems, dunning table, fee schedules, claim form generator, statements, report writing and collections. In addition, this person must be able to provide Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) application support and is knowledgeable in implementing, training and supporting several electronic transaction sets including but limited to Healthcare Claims and Healthcare Remittance.

He or she must be able to manage an implementation project or upgrade. He or she must be able to work effectively with staff and management in determining the most effective and efficient means of utilizing the computer system.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Five or more years or equivalent GEHC/IDX billing and accounts receivable and EDI implementation and/or support experience. Five or more years information systems or physician clinic billing and accounts receivable experience. Demonstrated experience in systems or workflow analysis and documentation. Strong project management skills. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team and with users, management and staff.

Responsible for supporting the electronic data interchange business and analytical requirements. Responsible for determining and documenting any data or record interface requirements to or from the core systems database. Works with trading partners in testing and implementing HIPAA required transactions sets including but not limited to Healthcare Claims and Remittance. Provides application training and mentoring to Systems Analyst and other IT support team. Demonstrates proficiency in the table structure, user tools such as screen and forms generation, and other user configurable components. Documents workflows and procedures related to the use of the computer system.df-tc
