Qualifications
Education Required: Technical IS &S 4 year degree (computer science, computer engineering or information systems)

Preferred: MBA or MS

Additional Candidate Qualifications Include:
- 10+ years total IS&S/computer experience with 5+ years as a systems architect.
- Experience in at least 5 major architecture area (mainframes, midrange (Unix/AS400/etc.), middleware, databases, ERP/COTS implementations, PCs/desktop, LDAP/Security);
- Experience with Service Oriented; Architectures (SOAs), Portals, and web-based development and deployment of solutions.
- Supervisory/leadership experience (at least with small teams);
- Architecture experience with Peoplesoft and SAP COTS solutions;
- Proven ability to effectively communicate technical topics effectively to subordinates, peers, and senior executives;
- Systems integration/consulting experience-proven experience providing services for internal or external customers, working with their team.
- Experience architecting large scale IT solutions (many users, many sites, highly available, etc.);
- Demonstrated ability to lead process area systems architecture initiatives

Preferred:
- Automotive experience;
- Experience with general ledger, purchasing accounts payable, and/or payroll/HR systems;
- Performance tuning experience

Key job Elements
- Develop architecture solutions to address problems such as performance, scalability, reliability, etc.
- Work with hardware and software vendors, as well as systems integrators, to identify solutions to potential problems before they become problems.
- Globally, across process area/factories, responsible for: Assisting project teams with cross-functional architecture/solution implementations; Review and approval of Bills of IT, as well as creating Bills of IT for cross-functional applications; Review and approval of architecture compliance - including developing initial architecture templates, patterns, and standards, as well as developing and monitoring metrics for migration from legacy to compliant architectures; Systems reduction - development and monitoring of systems reduction approaches, including working through the portfolio process to get projects funded to reduce the number of IT systems;
