Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Architect (AD, Exchange, SharePoint) to assist with an Email Migration Project. The Senior Systems Architect will define, strategize, and roadmap for: Determining the best solution for email hosting ( in-house vs. external partner) for 2000 users (7 logical business units with total of 28 physical location across the US), migrating the clients email systems off of the current corporate hosting environment (1000 users - one location) to the new solution, migration of remaining business units (20+ location, 4 business unites, 1000 users) to the new solution, and determining the recommended network approach for email / intranet (SharePoint) connectivity across the company to support the new hosting solution.Desired core competencies for this Senior Systems Architect position include: hands-on, subject matter expert with Microsoft Windows Architecture - Active Directory (AD) and Exchange, ten or more years relevant work experience, five or more years of hands on experience with large Exchange deployments ( 2000/2003/2007), extensive background in Windows 2003 domain structure and Active Directory, hands on experience migrating exchange environments (2000+ users, multi site), the ability to produce technical documentation and incorporate feedback where appropriate, and provide clear, concise, and customized technical documentation.

Experience/Skills
Requirements for this Senior Systems Architect position include advanced Microsoft Exchange Server, advanced Active Directory, advanced Windows Server 2003, intermediate Sharepoint as well as the following: current Windows MCSE certification with emphasis on Exchange and Active Directory (AD) is strongly preferred, expert knowledge of Windows architecture design principles, practices, implementation, and maintenance, experience with Operating Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA) Technologies SME, and Sharepoint (understanding from a configuration, architectural viewpoint, not hands on development). Microsoft Exchange 2007 is a required skill as are proven written, communication and organizational skills.
